About SEPO

Student Environmental Protection Organization (SEPO) is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 in Singapore by a group of ambitious Chinese students. Certified by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of Singapore, SEPO aims at raising the awareness of protecting the environment among students and keeping Singapore green. We organize a variety of events in order to help students look into major environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, over-consumption, efficient energy use and recycling, and adopt a 'green' lifestyle, which is beneficial to the environment as well as themselves. In this way, we can indirectly make the lifestyle of future Singaporeans environmentally friendly, and thus we can keep Singapore green. Our slogan "Live for green" expresses our resolution and hope that we humans live on the planet in a sustainable way. The idea of 'green' is also put into the domain name of this website, 'greensepo.org'.

Typically, the scale of an event is about 200 to 300 people. Some of the largest events that SEPO has organized include "Go Green for Community", "One-sided Paper Campaign", "TOPtoTOP Singapore Green Talk", and "Run For Green".

In 2008, SEPO was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation by the Keat Hong Community for its long-term cooperation.
In 2011, SEPO co-founded TOPtoTOP Singapore branch.
